Yient@u Reloaded

I had joined my new company for at least 2 weeks from now. Hey, thanks for reminding me, Lao Chai! Hehehhee...met my ex-colleague at McD. He said I gained weight ! But guess what, I was also thinking that he gained weight...LOL ! Just joking, anyway.

Time really flies and the world is changing rapidly and technologies are moving forward so fast. The environment changes rapidly and people around changed a lot too(yeah, I gained weight - gulp~ ). I almost can't catch them up anymore. I felt so tired at times. A lot of unexpected things keep happening to me. Something that I can't believe it will ever happened to me, whether it is good or bad. I also believe that everything happened for a reasons - of course for better if possible :p

Well, I choose to count my blessings instead of counting how many bad/sad things happened in my life. Hey... that's how it suppose to be, right ? See, smashpOp can choose to jump as high as possible to cheer himself up. In our life, it's our choice to choose to be happy or the other way round. Some people would choose to complain throughout their life ! or some people even choose to worry in everything throughout their life ! It's not that we are not allowed to complain. Well, as if you complain it and things will get better or so ? Sigh ! Woe to those who keep complaining ! Move your asses and do something ! Not complaining at all times ! I really admire those people who can solve problem in their life rather than those people asking "why me?!?!?"

Ok, I am not going to blog those unhappy things here. Let's see how many blessings I had lately ! :p hehehee...
  • New Acer Core 2 Duo Notebook

  • New HP iPAQ Pda Phone

  • New BELKIN Notebook Bag

  • New Sheaffer Pen(from Lao Chai - TQ !)

  • New Bank Account
  • Old Nikon Camera given by mom - no image available
  • ...and nevertheless NEW COMPANY ! hahahaha... - no image available

Aaarrrhhh....feel like reloaded again ! Uuusshhhh...keep going ! keep going ! I told you, things are moving too fast !

This is LOVE

At last I get my(or perhaps God's answer) answer. Thanks to stefanie for enlightening me to this question.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances.

Love is expressed in many ways, including:
(1) Forgiveness
(2) patience
(3) kindness
(4) love for truth
(5) love for justice
(6) love for the best in a person
(7) loyalty in any cost
(8) belief in a person no matter what

Love does not allow for
(1) jealousy
(2) envy
(3) pride
(4) a haughty spirit
(5) selfishness
(6) rudeness
(7) a demand for one's own way
(8) irritability
(9) grudges

1 Cor 13 : 4 - 7

For all the lovers out there, I also hope you are following the LOVE's rules that I stated here. I strongly believe these will work. Get some of your personal quiet time as well and ponder about it. It's worth to spend some time with it and it will helps you to build a stronger relationship in between you and your partner.

What's all about LOVE ?

Yeah, lately I am having a great impact of *something something* towards this four letters. What actually love is all about. Can I "eat" with it ? or can I "sleep" with it ? or can I "play" with it ? or can I even use money to "buy" it(Don't make into conclusion before you analyse it !) ? Hhhmmm...You might be surprised that I would have a question like this. At times, I just can't accept what Love is define as it is. Is it really worth to do anything just for this four letter even with the lost of your pride, feelings, emotions, personalities and I just mean everything in you ! Yeah, maybe that's the meaning of that four letter.

Some people says, Love is sacrifice. Some people even says, Love is forever. Some people even says, Love is Everything and so on and so forth. How do you define this four letter in your "world". Does it mean that you really would die for it just for this four letter ? or am I too realistic to say NO to this four letter ? or am I too ego ?

I am a person that would rather throw away whatever I had now rather than dying because of that four letter. You can go on and said "You are such a heartless man! Woe to you !". Yeah, go ahead. What happen if that four letter gave you a full blown of disappointment ? or even worst than that ? Would you still say that LOVE is everything ?

Well, in Holy Bible it says that God is Love. I think I need to start from there. What is Love, GOD ?

Alright, that's all for now and I would let the rest of the story for you to ponder. *pooof*...

Yient@u use lipstick !

"What ?!! You use lipstick ?! You must be joking !"...Hahaha...Yeah, that's a common statement that you can easily heard of when guys use lipstick. But do you ever wonder why would a guy uses a lipstick ?

I believe there are 3 valid reasons(of course you can name as many as you want ;p ), which I can think of for the moment. Let's see what are my 3 valid reasons.

  1. He uses lipstick for his filming ? Well, most of the actor uses lipstick and it is required by their director !
  2. He uses lipstick because his lips cracked due to sunburned, dry lips, chapped and so on ?
  3. He uses lipstick because he is a gay(the more femanine one) - Ok, that's not funny. Try to take some time and think of their feelings. They are actually having struggles that we can't understand.
So, I use lipstick(actually it's called as lipbalm hor?) because of the 2nd options :p Don't simply say arr...I am a real man !! Hehehe...Ok, the photo here is to prove that I use lipbalm but not those colorful lipstick ! :@)

...Looks like a Ridsect or Sheltox eh ? LOL...no lar, it's about the size of my ring finger. Don't use yours to measure eh ?! I know you are looking at your ring finger ! Hehehehe...

First Day @ *new company*

I started to work last friday. Yeah, right after my last day of employment with S@ins. The reason is, I will be bored to death if you ask me to stay at home a few days for holidays. Anyway, it was a good one during last friday. We had our first weekly meeting and planned to have it every friday. Cool, I mean it should be running in this way. But I guess most of the company didn't practise this. Having a weekly meeting is important where you get-to-know your staff better and get everything up to dates. So that we will be able to work as a real team work. They gave me a temporary notebook for me to start off. Well, they are ordering a new one for me but it has not arrive yet. So, currently using Twinhead Durabook. It's also new, but just that it's so heavy and not cool at all ! :p Check this out !

Working with foreigner is real great where they really have the sense of humour of all time. They can be as crazy and funny as you imagine and they can also be as serious as you can't imagine :p I think they really know how to organise themselves and work smart. Yeah, that's the key.

Yeah, talking about working hours - they don't really have a proper working hour. That's cool man ! Well, at the end of the day - result oriented. Colleagues here are friendly, technically sound (I find it interesting especially talking about technology with those hard core programmers - cool), like to joke and I am loving it ! (copyrighted)

Last monday, we were having our lunch with ang mo(s). Then my colleague was introducing them our local food. I would use a conversation kind of presentation. Here we go...

Ang Mo: What's that "Neh Si Keh ri" (Nasi Kari - oh well)...what's that ?

Col: Oh, that's curry rice(still not bad). Then we have BBQ rice, Duck rice and...(keep moving).

[the waitress served us with the rice - the rice is yellowish (chicken rice marr...)]

Col: This is "Chicken Oil Rice"!! (with loud voice of confidence. Ooopsss...direct translate).

Ang Mo's wife: Chicken Oil ? (asking with the tone full of puzzle)

Col: Yeah, Chicken Oil...nehhhh..that one arr...

Yientau: It's Chicken's fats...

Ang Mo's wife: Ohhhh~ chicken fats...alright alright...

Ang Mo with the unbearable feeling of laughing out loud: So, do you call fat people oily ?! (all of us laughing out loud !)

Col: (remain speechless)...

p/s : Sorry mate, I didn't mean it but just wanted to make the ang mo's wife doubt-free of what you are trying to say...LOL !

Ok, that's the joke of the day :p

Last Day @ Sains

Well well well...it has reached the last day of my employment with Sains. I didn't blog on that day because I was busy formatting my pc, chit chat with colleagues, doing some support (helping colleagues to debug codes...even on my last day huh ?) and lim teh with all of my going-to-be-my-ex-colig !! A lot of them joined during that evening for lim teh...even the secretary and cleaner show up that day. They really touched my heart. I mean some people would just left the company without even anyone knowing it. Thanks a lot mates ! Appreciate it ;)

Not only that, my close friend, who is also my colleague - bought me a sheaffer pen ! wallaooo...thanks a lot, Lao Chai(that's his nick name) !! I am loving it~ (copyrighted). Hey, really unexpected that he would buy me a souvenir...*sob sob* And yet he use his own money, without sharing with anyone. Not much people would do that. I just want to shout it out loud and say - Thank you ! thank you ! thank you !! (ooppss...3 times - influenced by Wong) ;p

When my watch pointed at 5:30pm, everyone started to greet me from "good luck" to "all the best"...I know I won't be looking back anymore. As the chinese saying goes "good horse never eat returned grass" (something like that). For those who study mandarin, you will know what I meant. Yeap...pretty good "ending" I would say. Hopefully no dispute among all of us. Really a pleasure (hopefully not pressure ;p) to work with you all. Ok, guys...that's it for now and the real challenges is waiting for me...yeah, right in front of my eyes...I don't know what my future holds...Anyway, I will leave that to God...He is my real manager...Hahahaha!!

Alright, some photos to share. I will only show a few since there are some issues where a bunch of people don't really like their photos to be uploaded. Sit back and relax, photos after the jump...

Tagged

Ok, I don't really know how to play this. But, pinkcotton force me to join the game. I said Ok, so here we go. If someone tells you that you are being tagged, which means you need to define 6 facts of yourself. Alright, you can then tag someone else if you wanted to. That was pinkcotton's definition of being tagged. In the world of programming, "Tag" simply means category or you can name it as grouping if you like to. Take for example, Gmail. Gmail uses "Labels" as their category. The latest terminology for categorization in programming world or web 2.0, we called it "Tag". Anyway, forget about that and let's start with my facts...

  1. I am not predictable (can be cheerful, can be dull at times)
  2. I would always want to put my foot into other people's shoes
  3. I am currently 67Kg which is unbelievable for stephenlim
  4. I love Foochow mee soup (Char jzu mee - yay!!)
  5. I contradict myself at times
  6. I love challenges in life where God makes nothing is impossible in my life !

photo of my weight as a prove to stephenlim

Alright, I don't simply tag people...so, that's it for now.

Farewell dinner with S@ins

Kinda busy lately, it has been a while during my last blog. Last friday was having my farewell dinner with my team mates and my section head of SD&I. We went to Hartz Chicken. Though I went there for several times, but I never realised that their Hot Wings were so nice ! It is highly recommended to have it all the time if you happen to drop by at Hartz Chicken.

I just want to give thanks to my section head again for treating me before I leave the company. Really appreciate it, u know why ? He use his own money ! I guess my section head really appreciate me as well. He gives me a lot of freedom, opportunities, respect me and very nice to me. Well, hope my new company will be having someone like him as my section head. Yeah, I believe it will be better.

Some photos to share after the jump...

I hate my innocent smile. It looks so fake !

Chai, Pau, and Wong (left to right)

Osteoporosis strikes yient@u

This morning I went to my cousin's (Ah Yi) pharmacy store - Region Pharmacy @ Satok. She owned the store herself. She told me that there will be a 2-days of free bone scanning at her store. Actually, there is a company who wants to promote their Calcium product and taking my cousin's store as a platform to have a free bone scanning to any of my cousin's customer. After the bone scanning, the customer can choose whether to buy their product or leave the store - most of them buy their product. Their service will start from 9am to 12pm. I choose to scan it before I go to work since my lunch hour would be at 1pm. Though I know I will be late for work, but better take this chance to scan my bone because my friend - StephenLim had a very bad experience with his leg fractured :-S

I drive my cousin to work every morning. So, I was fortunate enough to be the second customer to enjoy this free bone scanning service. The first customer was an old grandma which I think is about the age of 80 plus. After her scanning, the promoter told her that she had a very bad result. She said she is suffering from osteoporosis and need to take more Calcium. I were like giggling in my heart where I said to myself "she is so old already, of course suffer from osteoporosis lah!". The promoter keep asking her whether she had a lot of coffee or not. Then she said "yeah, I love coffee". So, her statement struck my mind and my eye brow raised higher and said to myself again "Ooppss...I love coffee also and I drink a lot during lunch ! Ohh ohh...She must be joking". Then after her turn, the promoter call my name and ask me to sit down. I take off my shoes and socks. Then she start applying some kind of gel on my foot. The scanning started...

My heart beat tend to beat faster. After 30 seconds, the result is out. The machine prints out the result right after the scanning is done. So, the promoter gave the same face as how she show it to that old woman ! Oh my....look at the following result

The red line is the border for osteoporosis and yet I am right above the border. Did you see the black dot ? Yeah, that's my reading with 77 +/- 2. My cousin told me that, a normal healthy people's reading would be more or less 128 but I only manage to have 77 +/- 2. Geeekkkk !! That's extremely low for the age of 25 ! Now I understand why, my friend StephenLim would suffered from his leg fractured.

My cousin asked me to take 2 tablets of Calcium per day for 2 consecutive months. No coffee no tea during lunch. It's a shocking for my age to suffer from osteoporosis. So, youngster out there...don't ever think you are strong enough and had enough of calcium at your age. Anything can happened. Try to get yourself for bone scanning as soon as possible before anything bad happen to you. Take care and God blessed. *start calculating how many tablets of calcium in the medicine bag*

This afternoon went to HSBC to open my saving/current account. They are called PowerVantage - it is a combination of Saving account and Current account. I applied for their credit card as well. Intended to apply for GradPac(FREE 3 years fee waiver) but since I am changing to a new company, they require my payslip of my new company. Well, haven't started to work where got payslip. So, she asked me to apply for normal credit card first. Anyway, they still give me 1 year of fee waiver for this normal credit card application. After 1 year, then only change to GradPac ;p So, all together got 4 years of fee waiver, yay~!! smarty eh ? kekeke... Went there for more than 1 hour. Their customer service is splendid.
