Nonsense but forgiven

A few days ago I was quite disturbed. I keep on having the thought where this World has nothing worth for me to move on or stay on. Everyone around me seems to criticise about me. They seems not to understand me though they said they do. They backfire me with no reason. They even curse me with joy and teased me. Some are taking me for granted. Some doesn't show respect to me. They thought I am telling lies. Some even twisted what I have said(in order to protect themselves) and causes me becoming telling lies. They thought I am ego and selfish. They said I am the type of "Kacang lupakan kulit". They said I had changed a lot. They said I am no longer who I was.

I am quite sad of all those comments. Although it's not something that they said directly to me. But someone was passing the message to me and some of them I just overheard it. The worst thing is they can act like they are very nice to me. As if nothing happen. I know this is how life is. Seriously can't think of a reason why they would say all these though I have no bad intention towards them nor hurt them before. I just couldn't understand why they exist.

I was driving very fast and couldn't find a solution to calm myself down. Suddenly there is one voice spoke to me. He said "forgive..." - straight away I slowed down my car and was calmed. Then I start to think again, yeah...why couldn't I forgive? I have uncounted sins that Jesus had forgiven me! Why I can't forgive them? I also realised I am so sinful that sometimes I had repeated my sins but God still forgive me. Yeah, perhaps I should forgive them as well as myself.

Disclaimer: Whatever is said above, I have no intention for any suicide activity. I am not that stupid ;)

Seven Seven Seven

Wow, it's seven seven seven ! Don't get me wrong, this is not a 4D or ToTo numbers ! It's 7th of July 2007...so, it's 070707 for a date format of "ddmmyy"(day month year). A lot of people choose to get married on this day. For Christian, the number seven means a lot to us. You can find the bible mentioned about the number seven and it's everywhere. How nice if I got married on this date :p But next year would be even better, it's eight eight eight ! 080808 (fatt fatt fatt)...oh man, am I too money oriented ?

Well, although yesterday was a special day to a lot of people. In fact, I am just spending my time in front of my laptop...what a waste ! sigh...So, did you make use of this special day ? or you are just like me ? :) (oh well, nothing wrong with that though)

57 Cents

I was overjoyed when my company announced to me that I no longer need to involve in Weekend Support starting from this week. The reason of overjoyed is because I can go to Church again ! yay~ I still can remember last few months ago when I was at Aberdeen, I don't have a single chance to go to a church there. It's not that I am a Christian and that's why I want to go church. To me, going church is like a place where we can renew/refresh/F5(IT terms)/regain our hope/confess our sins and a lots more.

Today pastor was giving us a sermon "The beautiful thing". He was telling us a TRUE STORY of a little girl at dont-know-where. What I know is definitely a very poor country. She is still a young and innocent little girl where all of her relatives had gone(probably died in a war) including her parents. One day, a pastor came across this little girl and bring her to church and teaches her a lot things about Christianity during every Sunday School. She is very interested and came every week. After two weeks, she died because of her severe sickness. The pastor was very sad and went to the place where she lived. He found a piece of used paper which is folded properly on the floor. He unfold the wrapped paper and found 57 cents and a few words in the paper. It's her hand writing and she wrote(something like that) :

"Lord, I pray to you that I gave my 57 cents to you; so that you would help the pastor to build a bigger Church. So that, there will be more rooms for the Sunday School children."

The pastor was very touched while his tears kept flowing down and he wants to share this as a testimonial during the next Sunday Service. While he preached this, one of a youngster laughed and said "hah! what can you do with the 57 cents ? are you kidding ?". After a few days later, a young man came to him and said to the pastor, "Pastor, I would like to offer my big piece of land to you to build a bigger Church.". The pastor replied, "oh, young man thanks for the offer but our Church can't afford to buy that big piece of land". The young man replied, "I am selling it to you with the cost of that 57 cents."

At the end, our pastor was so emotional and was crying in front of the congregation. I almost cried also but I tell myself that I cannot cry because this is a public place ! and even my dad caned me for 100 times when I was small and yet I never cry ! I did cry in my heart though.

Well, anyway it's something for us to ponder. The faith in the little girl where she believed that one day the Church can buy a big piece of land to build a big Church with just 52 cents !

New Age Greetings

Today is Sunday. Supposingly all of the Christian shall be going to Church as usual. Do you ever wonder why in Mandarin, they call Sunday as "li pai tien" ? We have "pai yi"(Monday), "pai er"(Tuesday), "pai san"(Wednesday), "pai shi"(Thursday), "pai wu"(Friday), "pai liu"(Saturday) and suddenly "li pai!!"(Sunday) ? How come not "pai chi"(Seventh day) ?!? and people used to say "juo li pai"(meaning having meeting at Church or simply go to Church)...it's worth while to ponder, anyway. Something to do with Christianity and yet everyone is using the term "li pai"(I am counting those non-believers in !).

Meanwhile, pastor always like us to greet each other before the service start. So today's way of greeting would be "God blessed you !"...So, everyone stand up and greet each other by saying "God blessed you !"...Pastor said greet the front, the back, the left and your right. So, everyone followed. In front of me sits a row of teenagers. I tried to greet them and they greet me back with a smile...arrhh, whatever. After that, when those teenagers greet with their friends sitting besides them, and guess what did they say ?

..."Yo, wassup man...wassup !?" ...oh well, is this the new age greetings at CHURCH ? I don't really dare to imagine if these bunch of people will be our future leader. Just imagine if the new age pastor said, "greet your brothers and sisters besides you with "Yo, man..wassup ? check it ...check it...yeah !" ..."

Well, you might think I am exagerating...BUT ! *speechless*...

Early appointment

This morning had an early appointment with God at church @ 6:30 a.m, foohhh...It's Saturday, come on ! I went there to gather some material for this coming wednesday's cell group meeting because our newly appointed cell leader can't make it this week. This is also because our fellow "old" cell group leader is leaving us ! Shall we all hug and cry together ? Naahhh...guys don't hug and cry together, we hug and shout together :p let those crying job to ladies. Anyway, I was so sleepy when the pastor start talking. My mind was at somewhere else(probably bed) and my stomach is burning since I never woke up so early on Saturday before. After the meeting at 8a.m, we went for breakfast together and had kolok mee at Carpenter Street and it was so yummy.

Just moved to new office last week and I thought I will be sitting with that ang mo again. Well, it's not too bad sitting with ang mo, just that I don't find their joke as my joke and I can't expect him to accept my crappy joke as well and work would be so dull ! Then God answered my prayer and he sent me Mr. Jongz ...hehehe, my former cock-talker partner. Yeay~ first of all, I never know that I would be working together with him again in this company, secondly I never know that I would be sitting right in front of him and talk cock all day long ! God is so good. At the same time, I guess he was too excited and helped me to take some photos and somehow "instructed" me to post it last night. LOL !!...and here they are

Our workstation is not fully covered, so I can see him a bit and cannot see him a bit...ahhh like that lar...

St. Andrew Day

30th of November is an St. Andrew Day for Scotland and it's being celebrated all around the world. Want to know some history of Scotland ? The flag of Scotland is actually representing the Cross of St. Andrew who was a fisherman in Galilee(now part of Israel) along with his elder brother Simon Peter (Saint Peter). Both became followers (apostles) of Jesus Christ, founder of the Christian religion. Fooohh...related to Christianity in a way.

Anyway, St. Andrew is said to have been responsible for spreading the tenets of the Christian religion through Asia Minor and Greece. Tradition suggests that St. Andrew was put to death by the Romans in Patras, Southern Greece by being pinned to a cross (crucified). The diagonal shape of this cross is said to be the basis for the Cross of St. Andrew which appears on the Scottish Flag. The following shows the Cross of St. Andrew in Scotland flag.

Scotland flag(represents the Cross of St. Andrew).

Since everyone is celebrating St. Andrew day, my manager invited me and my colleagues to his house for a so-called party. He promised me to cook haggis ! oohhh...my irresistible haggis ! ...and only beers allow for that night. Just joking, we had coffee and cakes after the meals :p

This is LOVE

At last I get my(or perhaps God's answer) answer. Thanks to stefanie for enlightening me to this question.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances.

Love is expressed in many ways, including:
(1) Forgiveness
(2) patience
(3) kindness
(4) love for truth
(5) love for justice
(6) love for the best in a person
(7) loyalty in any cost
(8) belief in a person no matter what

Love does not allow for
(1) jealousy
(2) envy
(3) pride
(4) a haughty spirit
(5) selfishness
(6) rudeness
(7) a demand for one's own way
(8) irritability
(9) grudges

1 Cor 13 : 4 - 7

For all the lovers out there, I also hope you are following the LOVE's rules that I stated here. I strongly believe these will work. Get some of your personal quiet time as well and ponder about it. It's worth to spend some time with it and it will helps you to build a stronger relationship in between you and your partner.
