Safari on Windows !

Definitely not a jungle tracking activities or an exploration to an African wildlife places. The Apple people announces the first Apple product on Windows. It was said to be 2 times faster than Internet Explorer(Bad IE as usual :( ) ! So, it's worth to explore "The Safari" on M$(Microsoft) Windows ;)

You can download them to have a try at here.

The following are their promises !
  1. Blazing Performance
  2. Elegant User Interface
  3. Easy Bookmarks
  4. Pop-up Blocking
  5. Inline Find
  6. Tabbed Browsing
  7. SnapBack (new !)
  8. Forms AutoFill
  9. Built-in RSS
  10. Resizable Text Fields (new !)
  11. Private Browsing
  12. Security
There are quite a number of new cool stuff that we never had in either Firefox 2.0, IE 7 or any other browsers. For example SnapBack and Resizable Text Fields. You really have to take a look at their Inline Find. Not something new, but the way they design its User Interface makes users so much easier to find what they are looking/searching for.

I've tried it and find that it loads the page much faster than ever. But...safari tends to break some of the Javascript code easily. So, you might find it frustrated if you are a web developer. But in fact, Apple is doing it right as now we can test our application on Windows; without having a Mac PC to test for our application. Cool stuff !

Airbus A380

No doubt, the Airbus A380 the world largest airplane took the largest passenger to lift off the runaway few days ago. It consists of four Rolls Royce engines—which each provide about 70,000 lbs. of thrust. Airbus A380 model number 007, is configured to hold 520 passengers, sounds scary eh ? It sounds like the The Unbeatable Titanic that brought such big number of passengers sunk within one night.

The cabin noise level is about 50% less than what you would experience on a 747. It's build in a two deck architecture where business class is designed to be on the top deck and economy class at the bottom deck. The top deck is no doubt more spacious and more comfortable. They promised to give a more than a four-star hotel service for the top deck. In that case, the top deck would definitely much much much more expensive than the bottom deck. They have a bar inside as well ! I was wondering, if in future they will build a swimming pool inside a Airbus...hehehehe...

Watch their video for more detail ... There is also a video showing how it was assembled, very interesting ! A MUST WATCH video !

So, start saving money today so that when they launched this A380 in Malaysia, we will be able to fly together !

Google Reader simply the best

I've seen a lot RSS Reader and have used them and I found that Google Reader is so far the best. I was using Bloglines before I was introduced by my colleague the almighty Google Reader. This is simply because some of the web pages are not properly displayed in Bloglines, but Google Reader ! I have been using it for a few months and find it very user friendly.

You might be asking why do I need a RSS Reader. Basically it's used to know what are the updates from various sites without visiting the site randomly to check for updates. It can be used in Blog as well. You want to find out if that blogger has any updates, then I would say Google Reader is your best helper. I mean those Google fans out there will definitely loves their interface design. The clean and light-weight design. This is of course provided that the blogger has the feeds subscriber in order for you to subscribe. Blogger.com does provide us with the feeds subscriber. You can turn them on at the "Settings" tab in "Site Feed" tab.

Google Reader
With bloglines, all of the images alignment were running out of its original position. But in Google Reader, it is properly aligned as how it should be in the original post. Btw, the latest Bloglines might have already fixed that bug.
You can find my feed in my blog also. Right-click on the link and choose "copy link location"
...then paste the address here and click "Add". So next time you don't need to keep browsing my blog without any updates ! unless you want to find me in my chatterbox :">

...and of course everything has its Pros and Cons and depending on your needs. Some of us felt bored when visiting a blog and has no updates ! So, to resolve this frustration, you can use Google Reader to check if there is any updates from the sites or blogs. But, some of us prefer their reader to visit their blog even there is no updates of post. This is to make their visit meter to increase day by day or simply making their blog looks more lively with the chatterbox. So, it depends on how you want them to work on.
