Safari on Windows !

Definitely not a jungle tracking activities or an exploration to an African wildlife places. The Apple people announces the first Apple product on Windows. It was said to be 2 times faster than Internet Explorer(Bad IE as usual :( ) ! So, it's worth to explore "The Safari" on M$(Microsoft) Windows ;)

You can download them to have a try at here.

The following are their promises !
  1. Blazing Performance
  2. Elegant User Interface
  3. Easy Bookmarks
  4. Pop-up Blocking
  5. Inline Find
  6. Tabbed Browsing
  7. SnapBack (new !)
  8. Forms AutoFill
  9. Built-in RSS
  10. Resizable Text Fields (new !)
  11. Private Browsing
  12. Security
There are quite a number of new cool stuff that we never had in either Firefox 2.0, IE 7 or any other browsers. For example SnapBack and Resizable Text Fields. You really have to take a look at their Inline Find. Not something new, but the way they design its User Interface makes users so much easier to find what they are looking/searching for.

I've tried it and find that it loads the page much faster than ever. But...safari tends to break some of the Javascript code easily. So, you might find it frustrated if you are a web developer. But in fact, Apple is doing it right as now we can test our application on Windows; without having a Mac PC to test for our application. Cool stuff !

System.exit(1);

I've installed Safari. Guess what. For the first time I used it to check my yahoo mail, the whole program crashed and closed. No doubt it starts faster than IE and the interface is nicer, especially the font but in term of stabiliy, it still falls into grey area. Banzai Apple!

I think I faced the same problem where the first time it loads in Windows, the browser crashed entirely. But subsequently, it won't crash anymore...I've try to run my application in Safari and it runs in a superb speed !
