YiEnT@u & SteF@niE's Wedding - Part 2

It falls on 18th of October 2008...do you know how did we choose this date? Don't get me wrong, we didn't go for any date consultation from temple or something. It was because both of our birth date falls on 18th, I bought my first car on 18th too, and a lot of our memorable things falls on 18th...so we decided to choose the 18th of the month, just any month within the year of 2008 and it must be on Saturday. Bingo, there we found the only 18th of the month that falls on Saturday in the year of 2008 is 18th October 2008. Surprisingly it's really a "red" date for most of the chinese and therefore all of the Hotels, restaurants were all fully booked and lucky that we made our booking one year ahead. Just imagine how "kiasu~ism" has been a trend lately...even buying an air ticket to fly back to Sibu has to be done a year ahead. Sigh!!!

Enjoy the part 2 photos of our Holy Matrimony at Trinity Methodist Church, yeah ;)

My singspiration team of my wedding. From left, Kara Keung, Gorden Law, Robin Chien, and Lucy. Thanks guys for the help!
Pianist of the day, Wendy Lim...it's really our honour to have her as our pianist. She is really good in all musical instruments, don't play play...She is with IMH(International Music House)...must be something lah, else how can she join IMH? hehe...Thanks, Wendy!
This is the moment where I almost cry but I still want to hold the title of a tearless man...hahaha. Just imagine during my childhood, when my dad caned me until he broke the cane, I didn't even let a drop of my tear out other than making some fake crying noise to stop him from beating me...hehehe, so naughty and "kek teng"(act tough). In fact, her dad told me a lot of things like - "take care of her, don't scold her, give her chance" and so on...uurrggghhh!! Make me feel like I am a ...

Unity candle...
Signing of registry at Church with Rev. Wong Kee Sing. He asked us one question which I find it amusing...he asked whether this marriage was forced by anyone or totally of our own will. In my heart, I told myself...I was forced by Stefanie...hahaha, just joking :-p But of course we told him it's our own will lor...nowadays where got parents still forcing their child to marry so and so...that's during olden days.
Recessional...yay~ we are married! 2 in 1
Come come come, single ladies!! it's flower throwing time...you can see all single ladies waiting down there with saliva. Guess what? When we threw the bouquet of flower, nobody rush to catch it. So it ended up kissing the floor and broke into pieces...I just couldn't believe that they just stand where they were and looking at the flower to fall to the floor...sigh!!! really speechless...
We had a buffet lunch at the carpark...yum yum~ It was ordered from Country Court Restaurant...

Ok, That's all for part 2...stay tuned for part 3 and 4!

YiEnT@u & SteF@niE's Wedding - Part 1

At last I lost my virginity YiEnT@u's knot has been tied. I know I am not being informative enough to my friends around me. Especially those really close friends from KL. Guys, it's really a waste of not having you guys around during my big day. I know I can find a thousand of excuses to explain this, but I promise you all to pay a visit to KL somewhere next year for another round of "yum seng!", ok? ;-)

It's not easy to make this decision in our life. In order to choose the person to be your life partner would not be easy. We went through thick and thin together and took us so much of time to tolerate each other, endurance, trust, shaping ourselves into one another's mold, understand each others different background and accept it at the same time, bad habits, way of living, characters, and so on and so forth. For me, I would think the purpose of our life is the most upmost important than anything else. I am looking for a person who has the same purpose of life and that's why I chose Stefanie as my wife today.

After months of sweat and tears of preparation, this is here we are...a new chapter of our life begins...

All brothers arrived at my house at 7am...Thanks to Chin for sacrificing his Honda Civic to be my wedding car. Everything went smoothly during the entire day of our wedding. Especially the weather.

We had "mee sua" on that morning...I think this is a Foo Chow's tradition but we follow ;) I told them it's a Singapore Mee Sua because it was cooked by my mom and she is a Singaporean...don't play play...hahahaha

Arrived at bride's house at 7:30am with a bouquet of flowers. I felt quite nervous and pressure at the same time. Because I know these sisters won't let me get through so easily! heh!

First task : "Prove to us you are strong enough for Stefanie and the family"

Second Task : "Sort the priority of the following". I put them right, easy!! :D

1. God
2. Spouse
3. Children
4. Parents
5. Career/Parents in law

errr...what about friends? hahaha...no wonder people said after one's marriage, all of our friends disappeared! That's baaadddd....

Third Task : "Shout to Stefanie I Love U loud enough to satisfy her" - She made me shouted twice... :p Naughty Stefanie...I think this is the most embarrassing thing I had ever done in my life, but it's worth it after all...

Fourth task : "Choose three out of five options when you get the bride" - So, I chose the following...

1. Gift(as shown above)
2. Physical touch
3. Words of affirmation

Btw, I need to create the gift on the spot without any preparation. So, my brothers help me out to create a gift for her. We managed to make a "Rochid"(Roland's orchid). There was a chili padi, grass, and a flower. The chili padi means I will spice up her life, the flower to represent her beauty, and the grass means I will always be by her side all the time. Woah, so creative eh?

I need to do this three things when I get the bride and I promised them(of course lah, need to get the bride!).

Fifth Task : "Eat all you can" - Well, the food doesn't looks challeging to me(at first)...

In fact, I enjoy the food they prepared. I thought it will be extremely scary like those in Fear Factor...Then I told myself, "Ceehhhhh...so easy"

It's easy until this superb duperb lemon juice! At first I smell at it and it taste quite thick. Then I said, hhmmm....I like lemon juice. When I took the first sip, I almost see a hole at my stomach. It was sooooooooo thick, OK!? Then my camera man Clement came to my rescue. He can just took it in one go, fuyohh! Thanks for the rescue, Clement!

Woah, after the five levels of test, at last they let me get through...it was quite tough for me...hahaha

Yay! got the bride! Well, I have promised the sisters with the fourth task and I need to do the physical touch, that's why I am holding the bride so close; and of course not forgetting the words of affirmation.

Yeap, they are my best man and bridesmaid.

YienT@u and Stef@nie Wedding Invitation Card

I think by today, all of my fans friends and relatives should have received my wedding invitation card. For those who are not invited to my wedding doesn't mean you are not invited. You are invited in my heart, really. I tend to make this a small scale and it's only 17 tables altogether. That's why I am very picky to those whom I had chosen to my wedding reception and dinner. Well, I will always remember to give you a treat to "replace" my wedding dinner for you when we meet next round in town! Just remember to remind me ya ;)

So, for those who has not receive my wedding invitation card, I have posted them here for you to "bioh bioh"(to view in hokkien). You are free to give comments. We personally think it's just a normal invitation card. To my surprise, everyone seems to give me surprise responses like "Oh no! It's so beautiful!", "Wow...this must be very expensive!", "This is beautiful and it's worth how much you had pay". Whether those comments are true or they are just making me happy, I will just believe them all! If you want to criticise, please try not to be too harsh yeah ;-p

Life

Hhmm...let's see...I left exactly 14 days away from my wedding and my heart beat gets faster and faster day after day. I know I am going to make it and yet I find that there are still a lot of things are still pending. Though I keep telling myself "I am on track, I am on track, I am on track...". I do have checklist but the checklist increased day after day. So tell me when is the checklist going to end from growing? Yeah, I know - it ends when the ceremony is over. Thank you for letting me know.

During the preparation, definitely there are some(probably a lot) arguments in between me and my gf. I know a lot of people said I should be calling her as wife but please tell me I am conservative. Things that really make us argue are those things that are redundant, unnecessary, irrelevant, not practical, out of budget, to follow or not to follow "pantang"(traditional practise to follow, else something bad will happen) and things like "Are you sure you want this to happen?"...A lot of decisions, a lot of plannings, a lot of thoughts and efforts to make things happen, arrangements...and so on.

Nowadays parents doesn't really gets involved with their children's wedding preaparations and they let their children to handle everything by themselves. We have now even a wedding planner available at the market. Sounds professional though. Well, I would say there are good and bad in all cases. So if you want your parents to pay for your wedding, then they will make sure you listen to whatever they said. Otherwise, you have to pay everything by yourself and you can do whatever ways you want; well, not for all cases though.

A few months ago I went to a tailor and make myself a complete suit and guess what? I can't wear my long pants anymore! I don't know how I could gain so much weight in just two months of time. It's getting more and more scary when the date is approaching. I told myself that I must get rid of my tummy within these few weeks. Ok Roland, you left two weeks...no more, just two weeks Ok?

I have started to go for jogging since last Sunday. Wow, it was like a donkey years I have stop from any sports and when I first started to jog, I heard a lot of cracking sounds. Hopefully it's not bone cracking sound! At frist I tell myself I am going to finish 5 rounds. Foohh...that's ambitious! After the 3rd round, I know I can't make it to the 5th round. But I tell myself I have to finish until the 5th! What do you think? Do you think I finished until the 5th round?

Well, I found that whatever we do in our life...it's really like a race. It really needs a lot of encouragements, determinations, rest when we are tired and always believe that we can end the race and win the race. I believe some of us give up half way. Some of us complain that we don't have a good shoe for the race. Some of us face challenges when other runners attack us with some real bad tactics to win the race. Some would even say, "This race is impossible! It's way too far for us to reach the finish line!". Some are fast runners, some are slow runners...some use short cuts, some uses long-winded route...

Whatever it is, I am going to finish this race with HIM. This I promised.
